Making music has always been something that makes me happy, and today was no different.
My best friend gifted me a musical experience for my birthday 6 months ago and today was the day.
We attended a workshop for choir and ensemble to sing works of Sweelinck, a Dutch composer of the late Renaissance/early Baroque era.
The music is a challenge in terms of timing and also it was in French (?), which means pronunciation was a challenge.
All day long I was completely absorbed in trying to learn and sing the amazing music and although it was taxing on the concentration, I have to say it is so rewarding and a wonderful experience. Definitely worthwhile!
