Today was noise day. I’ve known this day was coming for a few months already. The building that I live in is switching out the single glass for double glass and today the work started in my apartment.
I had to move all the furniture to one side and cover it with plastic, so as to protect it from the dust and general mess.
I also had to move my home office from my cosy desk in the lounge to a tiny replacement desk in my bedroom. It feels a bit like my student days, but I’m happy it’s just a temporary fix.
Hopefully the disruption will be worth it. Last winter I recall having warm legs and cold arms when sitting by the window, so hopefully this year will be more moderate. I won’t complain about a reduction in heating bill either!
