In the rest of the world October is when you start hearing Christmas music in shops.
Over here it is when you can start buying Sinterklaas treats (Snoepen) in the shops.
Based on past experience, I resolved to only buy it when December arrives. But then life happened and we thought of getting the new flavour candies that my friends recommended.
Kruidnoten is one of those irresistible things. It’s basically a tiny cookie made of delicious spicy stuff, covered in chocolate and other good stuff. The new flavour this year is white chocolate with coconut.
I had the best intentions to have just one or two. And that’s what I did. Throughout the day, multiple times, until I looked again and realised I had just taken out the last one!
Suffice it to say, until further notice I wouldn’t be buying kruidnoten until much later this year.
